WASHINGTON, D.C - U.S. Debbie Stabenow (MI) and Gary Peters (MI) announced today that the Department of Transportation (DOT) will be awarding Muskegon County Airport $444,948 to repair taxiways and taxiway lighting systems. These funds are from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program.

“Having reliable and safe air service is crucial for economic development, commerce, and tourism,” said Senator Stabenow. “This funding is another critical infrastructure investment coming to our state and will improve Muskegon County Airport for years to come.

“Michigan airports play a critical role in keeping communities and businesses connected to important markets and destinations,” said Senator Peters. “This federal support will help ensure Muskegon County Airport can continue transporting travelers safely and efficiently for years to come by making necessary upgrades to critical infrastructure and purchasing new equipment.”
