Senator Stabenow: Help for Flint Included in Water Resources BillTuesday, April 26, 2016
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) issued the following statement regarding the inclusion of her bipartisan Flint agreement, co-authored by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), in the Water Resources Development Act. The U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee is expected to consider this legislation this week.
“I am pleased we have successfully found a new path forward to get urgently-needed help for families in Flint and other communities across the country with serious lead and water issues. I want to thank Chairman Inhofe and Ranking Member Boxer for continuing to work with us to include help for Flint in the Water Resources Development Act. This is an important step, and I am not giving up until this gets done.”
