WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow released the following statement after the U.S. Senate passed the ALS Disability Insurance Access Act with bipartisan support.
“Families in Michigan coping with an ALS diagnosis already endure tremendous hardships. The last thing they should deal with is unnecessary waiting periods for their Social Security Disability Insurance. Passage of this bill keeps our promise to Americans that Social Security will be there for you when you need it.”
