Statement on the Passing of Dorothy Gonzales
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow made the following statement regarding the passing of Dorothy Gonzales.
"I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, Dorothy. She was an important education leader in the Hispanic community and a trailblazer for all women. Dorothy was dedicated to public service and was a tireless advocate for Michigan families throughout her career and will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family." - U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow
Over her many years of public service, Dorothy served in a number of leadership roles which included: Michigan State University Trustee, Director of the Wayne County Department of Health and Community Services, Director of the Michigan Department of Community Health's Office of Multi-Cultural Services and Chair of the Michigan Association of Governing Boards.
